Refix

A friend of mine is having a crazy rave party, so I was asked to make a playlist.  I automatically thought of the Tepr remix of Say Aha by Santogold, but there were so many parts of it that are too slow.  I can't remix anything for shit, but I tried to take out the slow parts and smooth it down.

Nothing much, but I was proud it flowed.

I got 2 songs that are guaranteed to make you move around (at the very least nod your head in your seat).


The first one is a mash up (possibly by Mad Decent team?),  consisting of E-40's "Tell Me When To Go", M.I.A.'s rap from "Grapes (remix)", "Art Star" by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and some great vocals from CSS's "I Wanna Be Your JLO".

The second is a club mix for a t.A.T.u. song "Friend or Foe".  Yeah, they were those fake lesbians.  Yeah, no one likes them anymore.  I understand this.  I still find them fascinating, so here is a great remix of Friend or Foe.

Spank Rock does Kylie Minogue...

... ok not exactly.  Philadelphia rapper Naeem Juwan (Spank Rock) is featured on a remixed version of "Heart Beat Rock" from the gorgeous Kylie's new CD X.  It is so much better than the original, and Spank Rock adds his distinct filthy lyrics and I love it.

Just a Little Bit

Everyone seems to like Lykke Li, but I can't really get into her.  She has a beautiful soft voice, but I don't know, I just can't connect with what she is saying.

That is, until I heard "Little Bit (CSS Remix)".  CSS provides a great beat for this song, and it has been on repeat for the last few days.  Thank you CSS!
